World Humanoid Robot Games 2026

China’s humanoid robot Tiangong Ultra ran 100 metres in 9.39 seconds, faster than Usain Bolt’s 9.58-second men’s world record.
It was developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Centre and won its preliminary heat at the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing.
Another humanoid robot, Lightning, built by smartphone company Honour, completed the race in 9.47 seconds.
Tiangong Ultra improved from 21.50 seconds in 2025 to 9.39 seconds in 2026 and had also won the world’s first humanoid half-marathon in 2025.
The games featured 51 events, including football, dancing and industrial tasks, with 2,056 robots from 666 teams across 16 countries.
