World Para Athletics Championships 2025

The World Para Athletics Championships 2025 concluded in New Delhi.
India hosted the event for the first time and won a record 22 medals, including 6 gold, 9 silvers, and 7 bronze.
The event was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, which previously hosted para-athletics during the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
India became the fourth Asian country to host the World Para Athletics Championships, after Qatar, the UAE, and Japan.
India’s Paralympics medal count has risen from 2 in 2004 Athens to 29 in Paris 2024.
