World Pneumonia Day 2025 - November 12

The aim is to spread awareness and fight pneumonia, the leading infectious killer of children and adults.
It was first observed in 2009 by the Global Coalition Against Child Pneumonia.
Pneumonia is contagious and spreads through coughing, sneezing, or contact with infected fluids.
The disease is caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi affecting the air sacs (alveoli) in the lungs.
The theme for 2025 is "Child Survival".
