From July 1, restaurant owners in Namakkal stopped using Swiggy and Zomato due to high commission fees and hidden charges.
Instead, they began using Zaaroz, a Tamil Nadu-based food delivery app from Chidambaram in Cuddalore district.
Zaaroz runs on a very low-cost monthly subscription model—₹1,500 (+GST) for messes/bakeries, ₹3,000 (+GST) for restaurants—with no commission per order.
Around 50 eateries have joined the platform, saving 90% in costs compared to the earlier aggregators who charged ₹20,000–₹30,000 monthly.
Hotel owners in Tiruchengode and Rasipuram are also planning to join Zaaroz soon.
