- The Union Cabinet approves 4G mobile services scheme for over 7,000 villages.
- These are to be implemented across the villages of Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Odisha.
- This ambitious project will be funded by the Universal Service Obligation Fund.
