- The 6th edition of Swachh Survekshan Survey 2021 will be conducted in January 2021.
- A new category of award Prerak Dauur Samman was added to the 2021 Swachh Survekshan survey.
- The award will have five subcategories: Platinum (Divya), Bronze (Udit), Silver (Ujjwal), Gold (Anupam), and Aspiring (Arohi).
- This survey was launched in 2016 to encourage cities across the country to improve urban sanitation.
- For 3 consecutive years - 2017, 2018 and 2019, Indore has been the Cleanest City of India.
