- A suspected case of Bubonic Plague has been found at Bayannur of China.
- The Bubonic plague or Black death had caused one of the worst pandemics in Asia, Africa and Europe, killing at least half population of Europe in 14th century.
- It is a rare but serious bacterial infection that is transmitted by bacteria called Yersinia pestis.
- It generally spreads through contact with infected fleas.
