- The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) introduced CEREBO, a portable, non-invasive diagnostic tool for traumatic brain injury (TBI).
- The device uses near-infrared spectroscopy and machine learning to detect intracranial bleeding and edema in less than a minute.
- CEREBO is safe for infants and pregnant women.
- It was developed in collaboration with AIIMS Bhopal, NIMHANS Bengaluru.
