China’s Type 076 Sichuan

China’s first Type 076 amphibious assault ship, the Sichuan, completed a maiden sea trial and returned to a Shanghai shipyard.
The trial tested propulsion, electrical systems, and major onboard equipment, all meeting expected standards.
The ship was launched in December 2024.
The ship features electromagnetic catapult and arrestor systems for operating fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and amphibious equipment.
