- The 15th Conference of the Parties (COP15) of the Convention on Biological Diversity was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China.
- The theme of the conference is “Ecological Civilization: Building a Shared Future for All Life on Earth”.
- The leaders adopted the Kunming Declaration.
- The meeting takes place in two phases.
- The Phase one took place virtually, from 11 to 15 October.
- The Phase two will be an in-person meeting in 2022.
