  • India’s Duty-Free Tariff Preference (DFTP) Scheme, launched in 2008.
  • It provides Least Developed Countries (LDCs) with preferential access to the Indian market.
  • The scheme aims to boost economic growth, diversify exports, and strengthen trade relations with around 48 United Nations-recognized LDCs.
  • Products eligible for duty-free access include agricultural goods, textiles, handicrafts, leather items, and minerals.
