The Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) approved 17 new projects under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) with a total investment of ₹7,172 crore.
Projects are spread across 9 states, including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Madhya Pradesh.
Components are to be manufactured include 9 projects for multi-layered PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards), 3 for camera modules, 2 for optical transceivers, and 1 each for connectors, oscillators, and enclosures.
The objective is to deepen India’s electronics value chain, promote local manufacturing, and ensure sustainable competitiveness in the global electronics market.
