- Recently “Friendship Gate" has been inaugurated at India- Bangladesh Border in Meghalaya.
- It is constructed with an aim to have a Wagah-like beating retreat ceremony for the Indian and Bangladesh border guards.
- Wagah is a Border Check post located on India and Pakistan international border.
- The Friendship Gate has been constructed near Integrated Check post near Shillong on border with Bangladesh.
- A BSF Border outpost has also inaugurated at Umsyiem in India- Bangladesh Border.
