- NLC India has commenced the commercial operations of the first unit of its 3 x 660 MW Ghatampur Thermal Power Plant in Uttar Pradesh.
- It is developed through Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Ltd, a joint venture between NLC India and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd.
- Uttar Pradesh will receive 75.12% of this power, while Assam will receive 24.88%.
