- A 12,000-year-old T-shaped pillar with a human face was unearthed at Karahantepe in southeastern Türkiye.
- The discovery was made as part of the Tas Tepeler (Stone Mounds) archaeological project.
- It is the first known T-shaped pillar to feature a clearly carved human face.
- T-shaped pillars are believed to represent human figures and date back to the Neolithic period.
