- Two new species of jumping spiders have been discovered from the Thane-Kalyan region of Maharashtra.
- One of the spider species was named after the brave police constable Tukaram Omble.
- He lost his life in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.
- The species is called as ‘Icius Tukarami'.
