- Tamal, the stealth frigate under construction in Russia, is to be commissioned in early June.
- Tamal will be the last warship to be commissioned outside India or imported.
- It is part of a $2.5 billion agreement for four stealth frigates and two constructed in Russia, two at Goa.
- The first of this class, INS Tushil, was commissioned in December 2024.
