- This day recognises the financial contributions made by 250 million migrant workers to sustainable international development.
- Globally, around 3.4% of population are international migrants who contribute approximately 9.4% of global GDP.
- This year, the IDFR campaign calls for a renewed and the expanded commitment to fully maximise the impact of remittances in achieving the SDGs in Low- and middle-income countries.
