- The K-4 missile was tested from submarine INS Arighaat at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
- It was the first test of the submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) from a submarine.
- With the missile test, India also became part of a small group of countries that can fire a nuclear missile from land, air and undersea.
