- Lalit Kala Academy has announced the 15 winners of the 60th Annual Academy Awards.
- The awardees will be honoured with a plaque, a shawl and prize money of Rs 1 lakh during the 60th National Exhibition of Art.
- This is the highest honour in the fine arts conferred by the Government of India.
- Lalit Kala Academy established in 1954 is an autonomous organisation under Ministry of Culture.
- It is head quartered in New Delhi.
- It is also called as National Academy of Art.
- Uttam Pacharne will be the Chairman of Lalit Kala Academy from April 2019.
