- Joint military exercise Maitree 2018 between Indian Army and Royal Thai Army was conducted in Thailand from 6 to 19 August 2018.
- It contributed immensely in developing mutual understanding and bonhomie between armies of both countries in order to counter terrorism.
- Maitree 2018 was platoon level exercise that comprises of infantry component.
