- The second phase of Malabar Exercise is to be held between November 17, 2020 and November 20, 2020 in the Northern Arabian Sea.
- The first phase of Malabar exercise was held between November 3, 2020 and November 6, 2020 in Bay of Bengal.
- The Navies of India, Japan, Australia and US are to participate in the second phase of Malabar Exercise.
- The exercise is important because the four countries together form the QUAD grouping.
- This is the first time in the decade that the four countries are participating in such a large war-gaming naval exercise.
