- The Tamil Nadu Assembly today passed the Tamil Nadu Admission to Undergraduate Medical Degree Courses Bill.
- It seeks to stop medical admissions on the basis of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for students of the state.
- The Bill challenges a central law passed in the Concurrent list.
- It is to receive the Presidential assent.
