- A ministerial panel headed by finance minister Arun Jaitley cleared the deck for launch of a new exchange-traded fund (ETF), comprising 22 public sector stocks along with those of Axis Bank, ITC and L&T.
- ETFs are like mutual funds and comprise a basket of shares.
- Bharat 22 is the latest ETF from the government and is part of a disinvestment programme.
