- The pension for MLAs and members of the erstwhile TN Legislative Council will be increased from ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 per month from June.
- This June marks the commencement of the birth centenary of late Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.
- The medical allowance being provided to these pensioners will be increased from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000 per annum.
- The family pension provided will be increased from ₹12,500 to ₹15,000 per month.
