- Young writer-critic Dr Debabhuson Borah was announced as the winner of the prestigious Munin Barkotoki Literary Award 2018 in Assam.
- He was honoured for his contributions of his book on literary criticism titled ‘Nirbochon’.
- The award was announced by the Munin Barkotoki Memorial Trust which aims to encourage the writers in Assamese.
- The 23rd edition of Munin Barkotoki Literary Award 2017 winner is: Short-story writer Dalim Das for his collection ‘Hari Jadu Madhu’.
- The award was established in 1995 and named after the renowned writer, critic and journalist Munin Barkotoki.
