- Nepal’s first satellite NepaliSat-1 was launched into space from National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) launch center in the US.
- The satellite was developed by two Nepalis Abhas Maskey and Hariram Shrestha at Japan’s Kyushu Institute of Technology.
