- The Network Readiness Index 2022 was released by Portulans institute, a US-based non-profit organization.
- The report assesses a network-based preparedness scenario based on their performance in four different pillars of 131 economies – technology, people, governance and impact.
- US is the top performer in this index, Singapore and Sweden are in second and third place respectively.
- Singapore is the country making the most progress in this index.
- It has moved from 7th position to second place, pushing Denmark (6th) and Finland(7th).
- The top performing country in Asia Pacific is Singapore, followed by South Korea and Japan.
- India (61st rank) ranks third among 36 lower-middle-income countries after Ukraine and Indonesia.
