New fish species - Schistura syngkai

- Team of scientists have discovered a new fish species in West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya.
- The fish which has the scientific name “Schistura syngkai” was found at the Twahdidoh stream, a tributary of Wah Blei river.
- Both sexes of the fish have golden-brown bodies along with blackish lateral stripes and slightly emarginate tail fins.
