- The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) launched a new logo and mascot.
- The new logo is based on the theme “Data for Development”.
- The logo includes the Ashoka Chakra, Rupee (₹) symbol, and growth bars showing the role of statistics in development.
- MoSPI also introduced its mascot named “Sankhyiki” (meaning Statistics).
- The mascot will be used in surveys, awareness campaigns, and public programmes.
- This initiative is linked with the National Statistical Office (NSO) to improve public participation and trust in data.
