- The Union Minister of environment, forest and climate change Prakash javadekar chaired the 37 the General Body Meeting of Central zoo authority.
- During the meeting two new zoos were granted recognition.
- They were the Rajgir Zoo Safari in Nalanda, Bihar and the Ashfaque Ullah Khan Prani Udyaan of Gorakpur, Uttar Pradesh.
