- SpaceX successfully launched the fourth and final satellite for NASA's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) program.
- The series of advanced satellites called GOES-R (Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite).
- They are expected to aid with "continuous coverage of weather and hazardous environmental conditions across much of the Western Hemisphere”.
