- The Supreme Court has ordered that further construction of the Kandi road inside Rajaji tiger reserve be stopped forthwith and issued notice to the state government.
- Rajaji Tiger reserve is a part of Rajaji National park, Uttarakhand.
- The proposed road through was within the tiger reserve and cut through a wildlife corridor between Rajaji and Corbett Tiger reserves.
