- "Red Light On, Gaadi Off” is an awareness campaign.
- It will be observed from October 21 to November 15.
- It is not an enforcement campaign.
- The onus is on individuals to follow.
- It is expected that, if 10 lakhs turn off the ignition at traffic signals, PM10 (Particulate matter) levels would go down by 1.5 tones and PM2.5 levels by 0.4 tonnes in one year.
