- The Roadmap for Viksit Krishi was unveiled on 16 July 2026 during the 98th Foundation Day of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) as a key pillar of Viksit Bharat 2047.
- It aims to make Indian agriculture climate-resilient, technology-driven and globally competitive.
- The roadmap has 7 goals: 100 Climate Smart Villages, One Institute–One Grand Innovation, Technology Outreach to 100 million farmers, Mission ICAR-100, ICAR Open Digital Knowledge Platform, Counterfeit Seed & Pesticide Control, and ₹10,000 crore resource generation by 2029.
- Mission ICAR-100 will transform Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) into innovation, climate advisory and farmer support centres.
- The Digital Knowledge Platform will provide free crop advisories, weather forecasts, soil testing and market information.
