- Titagarh Marines, West Bengal has successfully developed and handed over the Research Vessel – Sagar Anveshika to NIOT, Chennai.
- It will conduct various oceanographic research missions.
- The National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) functions under Ministry of Earth Sciences.
- Titagarh had earlier launched the coastal research vessel “Sagar Tara” in 2018.
