  • All States and Union Territories have been impleaded to assist in framing and implementing this national policy.
  • The previous order dated August 11, 2025, had directed authorities in Delhi-NCR to shelter all strays without re-release.
  • The modified order aims to balance public safety, animal welfare, and local concerns raised through protests.
