- On Home Ministry’s recommendation, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology issued orders under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 to block the websites.
- The "Sikhs For Justice” is an unlawful organization under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
- The group was registering supporters for 'Referendum 2020' to support its demand for Khalistan, a separate state for Sikhs.
