- India and Singapore will hold the 25th joint naval exercise SIMBEX from November 10 to 21 in India off Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
- SIMBEX is an acronym for Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise.
- SIMBEX 2018 will mark the silver jubilee of exercise and will be the largest edition since 1994 in terms of scale and complexity.
- The number of missiles and torpedo firings in this exercise will be the largest ever undertaken by the Indian Navy with any foreign Navy till date.
