- The Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) has received SKOCH Gold Award for its “Empowerment of Tribals through IT enabled Scholarship Schemes” project.
- It is the highest civilian honour in the country conferred by the SKOCH, an independent organisation.
- It recognises people, projects and institutions that aims to make India a better nation.
- It is given to both institutions/organisations and individuals.
