- The Indian Army will procure Software Defined Radios (SDR) developed by the DRDO and produced by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).
- These SDRs are equipped with high data rates and Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) capabilities for secure, real-time communication.
- The SDRs will enhance the Army’s operational readiness in information-intensive, network-centric battlefields.
