- The Supreme Court on prima facie found no harm in State Legislative Assemblies, passing resolutions against Central laws.
- Recently, Kerala and West Bengal state assemblies had passed resolutions against Central laws such as Citizenship Amendment Act and the new farm laws.
- The court held that these resolutions are merely “opinions” of the majority members of a Legislative Assembly and do not have the force of law.
