- Telomere-to-Telomere (T2T) consortium, an international collaboration of around 30 institutions has sequenced the “first truly complete human reference genome”.
- The new sequence is named as “T2T-CHM13”.
- This unlocks newer regions in human DNA.
- It might help understanding of a wide variety of disorders affecting people.
