Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit appointed DMK president M.K. Stalin as the Chief Minister on May 5th 2021.
He invited him to form the Ministry and to have swearing-in ceremony on May 7 2021 at Raj Bhavan, Chennai.
M.K. Stalin had released a list of 34 ministers who will be part of his cabinet.
The list containing names and portfolios of the ministers was sent to the Governor for his approval and it was approved.
