- It was the fifth and the final session of this conference.
- It was held on the theme ‘Towards 2050: Living in Harmony with Nature’.
- It is co-organized by the Government of Malaysia.
- It highlighted the progress made by the ASEAN Member States (AMS) in achieving the Aichi Biodiversity Targets.
- ASEAN contains three of the world’s 17 mega-diverse countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines).
