- Bangladesh’s first COVID-19 vaccine Bangavax has received approval from the Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC) for human trials.
- Bangavax was previously known as Bancovid.
- The 5th East Asia Summit (EAS) Conference on Maritime Security Cooperation was held in Kolkata.
- India organized the event in partnership with Australia.
