- Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman flagged off the 'Run for Unity,' an event organised to mark the birth anniversary of freedom fighter and India's first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhai Patel at Chennai on October 31st.
- The book, titled 'The Fire Burns Blue: A History of Women's Cricket in India', co-authored by sports journalists Karunya Keshav and Sidhanta Pathak, will be released on November 30.
- It is a book on history of women's cricket in India. The book will be launched as the part of the publishing house's new imprint, Westland Sport.
- The Vice President has recently released the book ‘Yoga and Mindfulness’ authored by Yoga exponent, Ms. Mansi Gulati, at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Conference Hall, Vice President’s House, in New Delhi.
- Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has appointed 3 senior IRS officers

- Neena Kumar
as new members of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
- With these 3 new joining, CBDT now has full house strength of five members and chairman.
