- Tamilnadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit inaugurated the morning breakfast scheme of Greater Chennai Corporation on 25 February at the Tiruvanmiyur government school.
- Chennai Corporation has teamed up with NGO Akshaya Patra to provide the breakfast in government schools around the city.
