- The Government of Maharashtra has decided to set up ‘Swachh Bharat World University’ in Wardha to mark Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary.
- The University will focus on research studies in sanitation, cleanliness and environment.
- Sahithya Academy’s Bal Sahithya Puraskar award-winning author Paro Anand has written the book “Being Gandhi” on the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
- South China giant salamander (Andrias sligoi) which is housed at London Zoo is believed to be the world’s largest amphibian.
