The government of Uttar Pradesh presented a Budget of ₹9.12 lakh crore for the financial year 2026–27 in the State Assembly.
The Budget is about 12.9% higher than the previous year.
Capital expenditure is set at 19.5% of the total Budget, with major spending on education, agriculture, healthcare, and infrastructure.
The fiscal deficit has been kept at 3% of Gross State Domestic Product, following Finance Commission guidelines.
The government increased funding for healthcare, medical colleges, police infrastructure, and technology missions such as Artificial Intelligence training programmes.
